How to add insurance to a label

Add coverage to a single label, a batch, or automatically to every package over a certain value.

Updated 1 min read

You can insure any domestic or international shipment, on any carrier, when you buy the label. Insurance can't be added after a label is purchased, so set it up before you click buy.

  1. 1
    Open the label creator

Start a new shipment or select orders on the Orders page.

  2. 2
    Enter the declared value

Type the item's value in the Insure for field. The premium appears next to the rate.

  3. 3
    Buy as usual

The premium is added to the label total. The shipment shows a shield icon once it's insured.

To skip the clicking, turn on Settings → Insurance → Auto-insure. Pick a threshold (say, orders over $100) and every qualifying label gets coverage for the order value automatically.
