FedEx splits its US services into Ground (trucks, day-definite) and Express (air, time-definite). Octoship shows whichever services fit your package and destination, so you'll only see Home Delivery for residential addresses and FedEx Ground for businesses.
| Service | Typical delivery | Best for | Example rate* |
|---|---|---|---|
| FedEx Ground Economy | 2–7 business days | Light, non-urgent residential parcels | $7.95 |
| FedEx Home Delivery | 1–5 business days | Residential delivery, including many Saturdays | $10.40 |
| FedEx Ground | 1–5 business days | Business addresses | $9.60 |
| FedEx Express Saver | 3 business days | Faster than Ground, cheaper than 2Day | $21.10 |
| FedEx 2Day | 2 business days | Rush orders without overnight prices | $27.30 |
| FedEx Standard Overnight | Next business day afternoon | Urgent orders | $58.90 |
Surcharges to know
- Residential delivery — applied to most residential deliveries. Already included in the rates Octoship shows.
- Dimensional weight — every FedEx package is priced on the greater of actual and dim weight (L × W × H ÷ 139). See how to measure packages.
- Additional handling and oversize — for very long, heavy or non-boxed packages.
- Address correction — if the driver has to fix a bad address. Address validation helps avoid it.
