How to book a FedEx or DHL Express pickup from Octoship, cut-off times, fees, and what to have ready for the driver.
No need to find a drop-off location — FedEx and DHL Express can collect from your door, home or warehouse. You book both from Ship → Pickups, the same place you book USPS and UPS pickups.
- 1Buy your labels first
Pickups are tied to the labels you've already purchased for that carrier.
- 2Choose the carrier and date
Pick FedEx or DHL Express, then a date. Same-day pickups need to be booked before the carrier's cut-off for your area.
- 3Set a ready time and close time
Tell the driver when packages will be ready and when you close. A wider window makes a same-day slot more likely.
- 4Add pickup notes
Where to find the packages, a gate code or a dock number. Drivers really do read these.
- 5Confirm
Any pickup fee is shown before you confirm and added to your Octoship balance. You'll get a confirmation number by email.
