USPS offers free Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express packaging, including Flat Rate boxes, regular Priority boxes, envelopes and label pouches. Order them from the USPS Postal Store and they'll be delivered free, usually within a week or two.
The rules
- Priority Mail branded packaging can only be used for Priority Mail or Priority Mail Express shipments.
- Using a Priority box for Ground Advantage or Media Mail can get the package returned or charged extra.
- You can turn a Priority box inside out to hide branding, but it's simpler to buy plain boxes for Ground Advantage.
Plain boxes and poly mailers aren't free, but they work with every service, so you're free to choose whichever rate is cheapest for each order.
