Prepaid balance or pay-per-label: how Octoship charges for postage.

Octoship itself is free. The only thing you pay for is postage, at the rate shown when you buy a label. There are no monthly fees, no markups and no charges for features.
Two ways to pay

| Prepaid balance | Add funds in advance; labels draw from the balance. Optional auto-reload when it gets low. | Regular shippers and batch printing |
| Pay per label | Your card is charged at the moment you buy each label. | Occasional shippers |
You can switch between them at any time under Settings → Billing. Refunds for voided labels and any carrier adjustments are applied to your balance if you have one, or to your card if you don't.
Every payment and label shows up on your receipts and invoices page.
