Printing labels on regular 8.5×11 paper

No thermal printer? No problem. Here's how to print labels on plain paper or half-sheet sticker labels.

Updated 1 min read

Any inkjet or laser printer can print Octoship labels. Go to Settings → Printing and choose one of the letter-size formats:

  • 8.5×11 — one label per page: print on plain paper, trim, and tape it to the box with clear packing tape. Don't cover the barcode with textured or matte tape.
  • 8.5×11 — two labels per page: made for half-sheet adhesive labels. Peel and stick, no tape needed.

In the print dialog, set Scale to 100% and Margins to Default or None. Print in black and white at normal quality — draft mode can make barcodes too pale to scan.
