Batch shipping basics

Buy and print labels for many orders at once instead of one by one.

Updated 1 min read

Once you're shipping more than a few orders a day, batches save serious time. A batch lets you select many shipments, review them together, buy every label in one step and print them all in a single file.

Create a batch

  1. 1
    Select your orders

On the Orders page, tick the orders you want to ship. You can filter by store, date or tag first.

  2. 2
    Apply package details

Choose a package preset to fill dimensions and weight for every selected order at once, then adjust any that differ.

  3. 3
    Pick a rate rule

Choose Cheapest, Fastest or a specific service. Octoship applies it to each order.

  4. 4
    Buy and print

Review the total, click Buy labels, then print the combined file.

Batches also generate a packing list you can print alongside your labels so you know which item goes in which box.
