Military and diplomatic addresses ship at domestic USPS rates but still need customs info. Here's how to address them.

Military (APO/FPO) and diplomatic (DPO) addresses are handled by USPS as domestic mail, so you pay domestic rates — but they still require a customs declaration because the mail ends up overseas. Only USPS can deliver to these addresses; UPS, FedEx and DHL Express services won't appear on the rate screen.
How to format the address
- Line 1: recipient's full name and rank (if provided)
- Line 2: unit and box number, e.g.
PSC 1234, Box 5678 - City:
APO,FPO, orDPO— never the foreign city name - State:
AE(Europe, Middle East, Africa, Canada),AP(Pacific), orAA(Americas) - ZIP code: the 5-digit military ZIP the recipient gave you
US territories such as Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands also ship at domestic rates. Some territories require a customs form; Octoship adds one automatically when it's needed.
